Press Release Barclays Global Investors Announces Name Change of iShares S&P GSSI/GSTI Funds
San Francisco - March 28, 2008 - Barclays Global Investors (BGI) announced the change in name of five iShares S&P GSSI/GSTI Funds to reflect the name changes of their respective indexes effective today. S&P recently announced the indexes' name changes in order to retire references related to Goldman Sachs. There will be no change in the investment objective of the Funds. Shareholders do not have to take any action.
The iShares Funds are index funds that are bought and sold like common stocks on securities exchanges. The iShares Funds are attractive to many individual and institutional investors and financial intermediaries because of their relative low cost, tax efficiency and trading flexibility. Investors can purchase and sell shares through any brokerage firm, financial advisor, or online broker, and hold the funds in any type of brokerage account.
